Binfinity
Introducing Binfinity: A small bin that seems to take infinite amount of soft plastics

Tired of your soft plastic recycling overflowing? Meet Binfinity, a simple solution designed to tackle the bulkiness of soft plastics in a domestic setting.
Traditional bins for soft plastics often suffer from lids popping off or filling up far too quickly. Binfinity solves this by using simple geometry and your hands. Binfinity doesn't use any special plunger, just your hand and Binfinity can collect kilos of soft plastic. It keeps your plastics compressed and contained until you are ready to drop them off at a collection point.
The best part, it's free*!!
If you have access to a 3D printer. You can download the model for free and print your own Binfinity.

Why Soft Plastic Recycling Matters
Soft plastics (like grocery bags, bubble wrap, and cling wrap) are ubiquitous but require separate, specialized processing. Because they are so light and bulky, they are often difficult to manage at home. Binfinity makes it easy to collect these materials efficiently, ensuring they don't end up in a landfill.
How to Use Your Binfinity
1. Set Up the Bag
- Insert a standard flexible plastic bag into the bin through the top (narrower) opening.
- Secure the bag in place using the provided securing ring. This ring is designed to provide a resilient fit against the internal baffle, holding the bag open and ready for use.
2. Filling and Compacting
- Simply scrunch your soft plastics and push them through the top opening into the bag.
- As the bag fills, the internal walls and the baffle portion provide passive compaction.
Pro Tip: You can tuck plastics past the baffle into the "annular nook" to keep them from expanding back out of the opening.
3. Removal and Disposal
- Once full, release the bag from the securing ring.
- Tie or clip the bag closed while it is still inside the bin.
- simply take the tied full bag out of the bottom opening.
